FAQs

What is the project process?

I’ll always start with reviewing your current resume. I’ll then send you an email with my feedback and next steps including my plan of action, pricing, and turnaround time. I include a blank “Resume Profile” word document that prompts you for items you may want to consider adding to your resume. I want to hear about what you’re looking to do next, as well as any job listings you’ve seen that have sparked your interest. I’m available to correspond via email or we can schedule a call to discuss the project further.

I haven’t needed a resume in 20 years. What if I don’t have one to share with you?

No resume, no problem! We’ll schedule a call to talk about your career experiences and what you’re looking to do next. Then I’ll send you my “Resume Profile” word document that outlines all the information I’ll need to craft your new resume.

Do your resumes pass the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)?

Yes, they do. I am well-versed in the ATS process and ensure that my resumes use the appropriate fonts, templates, and criteria so that your resume passes the scans — maximizing your chances for an interview. Feel free to ask me any questions about this topic.

How do I pay for your services?

I accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle. Timely payment secures the job. Please note, I do not offer refunds.

Do you offer LinkedIn help?

I sure do! I offer assistance updating your existing profile, or I can set you up completely with an optimized active profile. LinkedIn and traditional resumes are companion pieces, and it’s important to have them both updated and polished. Plus, most hiring managers will look up candidates on LinkedIn, so you want to make sure you are represented.

Do I need a cover letter?

I would have one prepared. They are listed as optional on any job application site, but they do provide hiring managers with a great introduction to who you are professionally prior to reading your resume. I believe they add a nice touch since you can use anecdotes and a more personal tone. Well-crafted cover letters get the hiring managers interested in hearing more about you — the perfect setup before they view your resume.

Do you charge for edits or revisions?

Never. I work on your resume until you are completely satisfied. They’re also completed on your timeline, so whenever you have time to review works for me. I’m the only one who needs to stick to a deadline.

What is the turnaround time for a resume?

My standard turnaround time is 12 business days, but I do offer rush pricing should you need it quicker.
